The Birmingham Amateur Radio Club (BARC) is a community of amateur radio enthusiasts located in Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 1926. We welcome anyone interested in exploring the world of HAM radio.
BARC meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Join us to share experiences, learn, and connect with fellow radio enthusiasts. See information on the 'Events' tab above to get location and Zoom specifics.
Anyone interested in amateur radio is encouraged to join. Simply attend one of our meetings or contact us for more information on membership. Or, you can click the 'Signup or Renew' button above to signup online.
You do not need a license to join BARC or attend meetings. However, to operate on amateur radio frequencies, a license is required. We can help you learn how to get one! Go to the 'Events' tab above and find the information on License Test Preparation.
