Join us every first and third Thursday at 7:00 PM for our regular club meetings where we discuss amateur radio topics and plan upcoming activities.  Meetings are held at the Alabama Historical Radio Society shop location: 759 18th Street N, Birmingham, AL 35203

Also meetings can be joined via Zoom.

Rather than attending classes, most now use online study guides and help.   We recommend using "hamstudy.org".

They provide a very good method and information and practices tests for all levels of amateur radio testing.

Join us for our various testing sessions either to obtain a license, update your license to a higher class or to serve as a volunteer examiner.  Go to the Amateur Radio Advancement Group (ARAG) site at aragroup.org to see the schedule and other information including pre-registration info.

Experience the thrill of outdoor operations during our Field Day events.  Join us for 24 hours of on-air activity and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts.  There is a "Winter Field Day" in January (1/24-25/2026) and a "Summer Field Day" in June (6/27-28/2026).

Get involved with the community by participating in local events and hamfests. Your contributions will help promote amateur radio in Birmingham!
